Forward deployed engineering
From pilot
to production.
Senior AI engineers, embedded alongside your people. Real workflows, real constraints, working systems your team can own.
See how we workGet inside the problem.
Then build the answer.
We stay close to the people doing the work. Every part of the engagement moves towards operational value and your team's independence.
Find the value.
Understand the bottleneck, establish a baseline and choose a problem worth solving. If a simpler process is the better answer, we say so.You get an agreed opportunity, success measures and a build decision.
Embed with your people.
Work alongside the operational experts, process owners and technology team. Understand the exceptions, data and constraints a specification misses. You get a grounded workflow and a practical delivery scope.
Build against real work.
Integrate with the systems you use. Test models, retrieval and automation on representative tasks, with the people who will depend on the result. You get a working capability and evidence of where it helps.
Make it production-ready.
Put permissions, evaluation, monitoring and exception handling into the system. Agree operating costs, support responsibilities and a controlled release. You get a deployable system with a named operational owner.
Transfer the capability.
Your team works alongside ours. Agree code ownership, document the architecture and rehearse the operating tasks before the handover. You get the agreed code, runbooks and knowledge to keep improving.
A useful way
to start.
Choose the starting point that matches your situation. Scope, people, milestones and commercial terms are agreed before the work begins.
Opportunity and readiness
For leaders with many ideas and no clear first move. We examine the workflow, data, likely value and delivery constraints. The output is a prioritised opportunity and a decision to build, simplify or stop.
Embedded build and deployment
For a valuable problem with a committed owner. Engineers work inside your delivery team to build, evaluate and deploy a working capability. Integration, adoption and operating costs form part of the scope.
Pilot recovery
For a promising demonstration that cannot enter daily use. We identify the blockers in data, architecture, permissions, reliability or support, then agree a practical route to production. Not every pilot deserves to continue.
Team capability and handover
For an internal team that needs experienced engineering alongside it. Pairing, design decisions, reviews, documentation and operating rehearsals transfer knowledge through delivery, rather than a standalone training course.
The day after
the demo.
A system earns its place by being useful, controlled and supportable in your organisation.
Evidence of quality.
Representative tasks, failure cases and human review. A clear acceptance bar before release.
Control of actions.
Least-privilege access, approved tools, audit trails and explicit approval for consequential actions.
Operational ownership.
Monitoring, cost visibility, incident handling and rollback. Someone knows what to do when it fails.
A supported transition.
Architecture, repositories, runbooks and a handover tested with your people.
The capability
stays with you.
The objective is to make your organisation more capable because we were there. Ownership and the exit path are part of the engagement from the start.
Scope an embedded engagementBefore
we build.
Do we need an AI strategy first?
No. Bring a workflow, bottleneck or opportunity, and someone who understands it. We can help establish whether a build is worth doing before you commit to one.
Does everything need a large language model?
No. Rules, search, classifiers, small language models and ordinary software may be the better fit. We choose against the task's quality, latency, data and cost requirements.
Can we build on AWS or on-premise?
The environment follows your requirements. AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock or SageMaker can support a cloud build. Private cloud, on-premise and hybrid options need their own security and operating design. Explore the deployment choices.
What will the engagement cost?
Scope, team size, dependencies and production requirements drive the cost. We agree the work and commercial terms before starting, and make running costs part of the build decision.
